The clerk-auditor is the custodian of the county's records, and accountant for its finances. As clerk, this officer maintains legislative history, vital records (such as marriage and birth certificates), and other official documents. As auditor, this officer controls the budget and handles financial reporting and audits of government agencies.
Application GuidelinesIf you would like to be included on the ballot for county office, follow these three steps. 1) Contact the county clerk. The clerk's office can provide information about the availability of filing papers and answer questions regarding nominating petitions and other ballot procedures. 2) Arrange to pick up required paperwork. 3) Return your completed paperwork within the designated filing window.
