The County Clerk is elected at large for a four year term. The Clerk is responsible for attending all meetings, keeping a record of the proceedings, attesting to all ordinances and reolutions, and warranting the County Treasurer to pay all county bills. The County Clerk issues many different licenses: marriage, civil union, business, liquor, raffle, tobacco, amusement device and notary public; furnishes copies of birth, death, marriage and civil union certificates; files and records economic interest statements of all officials in DuPage County. The County Clerk plays a vital role in the taxation process by compiling the up-to-date list of all county parcels of property for tax assessment, calculates the amount of tax for each parcel and certifies those amounts to the Treasurer for collection.The salary for this position is $134,958/year.

You can contact the Hamilton County Board of Elections office if you have trouble contacting someone in your district at 630-407-5600. 3) Submit the candidacy papers to the appropriate local election official or the board of election commissioners within the 106-113 day filing window before the election. Prior to submitting your candidacy papers, you should arrange an appointment with the governing authority of the office you are seeking to go over the required paperwork.
